Terms of Service

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information; unique usernames may be required for public author URLs.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of content you post. By publishing on WordLapse, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, distribute, promote, and technically process your content in connection with operating the platform (including moderation, security, backups, and personalization).

You represent that you have the rights to post your content and that it does not violate law or third-party rights.

3. Prohibited conduct

We prohibit, including but not limited to:

• Spam, scams, malware, or phishing.
• Harassment, hate speech, or credible threats.
• Artificially inflating ad impressions, clicks, ratings, or engagement.
• Circumventing security, scraping at scale without permission, or abusing APIs.
• Posting illegal content or content that infringes intellectual property.

Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, forfeiture of accrued amounts where permitted by law and our policies, and referral to authorities where appropriate.

4. Moderation & reporting

Users may report posts and comments. We may review reports and take action (including removing content or restricting accounts) at our discretion. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so to protect the community and comply with law.

5. Advertising & revenue sharing

We may display advertisements on the platform, including on article pages and other surfaces. Revenue share percentages, eligibility, and payout mechanics are described in product copy and creator tools and may change with notice as described below. You are responsible for taxes on amounts you receive.

6. Third-party services

We use third parties (for example authentication providers, payment processors, analytics, advertising networks, and hosting). Their terms and privacy policies may apply to you when you use those features.

7. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WordLapse and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims arising out of these terms or the platform is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars, except where prohibited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, stop using the platform.
